About me

Picture
In 2013 I completed the Bath Spa Creative Writing MA with Distinction. My first novel, Mother Love, was shortlisted for the Janklow and Nesbit BSU Prize and the 2015 First Chapter Competition and longlisted for the 2015 Mslexia Novel Competition.

During a six-month course at Faber Academy I worked on my second novel, Untold, which has been shortlisted for the Grindstone International Novel Prize and the Cinnamon Literature Award, and longlisted for the Retreat West First Chapter Competition, the Cheshire Novel Prize, the Marlowe and Christie International Novel Prize and the Gutsy Great Novelist 2025 Chapter One Prize, where my entry was one of six top honourable mentions. Represented by Vivienne Schuster at Curtis Brown until her retirement, I am now working on my third novel and looking to sign with another agent.

When I'm not writing, I host workshops and writing courses, and provide one-to-one coaching for writers. I've been a freelance contributor for an online writing community and a reader for the annual Bath Short Story Award. Prior to writing fiction, I wrote on parenting, education and green issues for a variety of publications including The Telegraph.
